ABOUT THE LOCATION :
This is a spacious, well-furnished double bedroom right in the heart of Baker Street (Zone 1), literally 2 mins away from Baker Street tube station, Madame Tussauds and the charming Sherlock Holmes Museum.
We are also right next to Regents Park, where you can spend the day walking through its stunning rose gardens, catching a Shakespearean play in its Open Air Theatre, or simply jogging and walking through the immense, immaculate paths.
For those with children, the popular London Zoo is within Regents Park.
For shopping aficionados, Oxford Street is just a 10 minute walk away.
Plenty of cafes and good restaurants are just a 3 min walk away on the main road (Baker Street).
ABOUT TRAVELLING HERE :
To / From Paddington tube station : We're 2 stops away on the Circle / Hammersmith lines. You don't need to get off to change lines, very handy if you have large luggages.
To / From King's Cross St Pancras : We're 3 stops away (Circle / Hammersmith / Metropolitan lines). Again you don't have to change lines, and you don't have to get up especially early just to catch the Eurostar!
Each journey takes no longer than 5-7 mins including waiting time for the tube.
To / From Luton Airport : Easybus.co.uk runs a cheap and convenient service (last checked it was GBP2 per journey) which takes you literally to the footsteps of the apartment. Again, no running late to the airport especially if you have to check-in very early for budget flights like Ryanair and Easyjet.
To / From Stansted Airport : Again, Easybus.co.uk runs a service which takes you literally in front of the apartment.
ABOUT THE ROOM :
This is a large, comfortable bedroom with a king sized bed, very quiet as it faces the back, and not the main street. You have plenty of wardrobe space, a dresser (very useful if you're preparing yourself for a lovely dinner in any of London's famed restaurants), as well as lots of floor space to put large suitcases.
The room suits 2 adults very comfortably. If you are travelling with a larger party, I will provide a double air-bed (inflatable mattress) to accommodate 2 more adults. Extra duvets, pillows and towels will be provided.
There's also a little cosy living area so it feels more like home. Here you have a large, plush sofa, a 32" flat screen cable TV and coffee tables to put your books or feet up on.
Coffee and tea-making facilities are available for those cold winter nights in London! This consists of a kettle, instant coffee powder, tea bags, sugar, milk, cups and teaspoons.
You will also have access to high-speed wireless internet.
The bathroom will be shared with myself, all basic amenities will be provided : shampoo, shower gel, towels, hair dryer, so that you don't have to fill your suitcase with unnecessary loads.
There is no access to the kitchen but there are plenty of cheap and cheerful cafes and restaurants in the immediate area.
