In the vibrant neighborhood of Islington in central London, our place is close to all the sights and attractions of the city, with great public transportation to anywhere you want to go.
Islington is one of the most sought-after London neighborhoods, with many independent boutiques, markets, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Also just 10 minutes from Dalston and Shoreditch for the best London art galleries, nightlife and dining. We are less than a minute’s walk to excellent bus transport links and a 10 minute walk (or 5 minute bus ride) to 3 tube stations.
Our apartment is bright, clean and cozy, with wooden floors, lots of art on the walls and all the comforts of a well-stocked home - everything to make your stay a comfortable one.
Your room contains a Habitat sofa bed for one or two people and is a private room with its own door, large windows, a desk, and a lovely outdoor space with table and chairs for sunny days! Please note, we are on the 3rd floor of an apartment block (no lift/elevator).
The flat is shared with us, your hosts, although we're at work morning till night during the week so you'll have the place to yourself most of the time.
We are a friendly Canadian couple (turned Londoners after 6 years living here!) working in art and design who would be happy to point you in the right direction for entertainment, shopping, art/museums, nightlife and the best London restaurants. We are happy to share tips about the city - please feel free to ask!
We highly recommend bus travel to/from our place, as it is easy, cheap and convenient: direct bus connections to Kings Cross station, the British Museum, Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Selfridges, Oxford Circus, Covent Garden, Bloomsbury, St Paul's Cathedral, Waterloo (Big Ben, Westminster, London Eye, Southbank), Victoria station, Hyde Park.
We are located about a 10/15 minute bus ride away from Kings Cross/St Pancras train station (for Eurostar/train services).
Check in/check out time can often be flexible, dependent on our schedules (as we both work during the day or may have guests departing the day you arrive). We will try our best to accommodate your arrival time.
It may sometimes be possible to drop off your luggage if arriving early or store your luggage if you're leaving late, please ask before arrival. We do have an air mattress that can be used for a third person alongside the double bed, if needed - please just ask.
This is a lovely room in BRICK LANE !!! Amazing location with everything that you may need on your door step, such as supermarket, post office, corner shops, restaurants, pubs,etc.
Fresh towels, bed linen and basic toiletries are provided, fast unlimited wifi connection. In the case you do book the room, I will meet you at the Station so do not worry about getting lost ;)
Smoking is allowed outside please.
The Room: As you can see in the picture , is a pretty large room .There is a double bed and a sofa bed. Fresh bed linen and towels will be provide. The room is in a tidy clean flat and you will share the common areas with friendly, easy going people so we would be happy to guest similar people.
I put some pictures of London fields that is the nearest park full of young people chilling: it is always in this way from June! It's amazing! Broadway market is just 5 min walking from home and every Saturday they organise a street market where you can find young local fashion designer creations second hand clothes organic food and fresh fish! Street artists are all around with their music and it is full of very characteristic cafes and typical Londoners pubs.
If you come to London for work or tourism our flat is P E R F E C T! We are next to the city and we benefit of excellent transport links for PICCADILLY CIRCUS, OXFORD STREET TRAFALGAR SQUARE and Liverpool Street station with just one bus in front of the flat ( 20 minutes by bus to Oxford street).
Every Sunday there is another famous market just 5 min walking from home! UpMarket's famous food area, with cottage-industry style passionate caterers creating home-to-market food has already found a huge fan base. Ethiopian hand roasted coffee, Turkish specialties, lovely Moroccan dishes,Spanish Paellas and Empanadas, hand-rolled Sushi
(done in front of you), Japanese sweets and savoury pancakes, Carrom Cafe's Lassi, Chai and Indian Street Snacks, Thai food and Caribbean sea bass and fried
plantain sandwiches' It's a long list.

Which has a fantastic shopping centre and all the a major high street names it is a very busy location with cinemas, restaurants, pubs, bars and retail parks. It is an essential place to live, having fantastic transport links 2 minutes from turnpike lane station (Piccadilly line, Zone 3). More than 8 busses day and night passing through where the property is situated such as (29,41,67,141,144,230) benefits from having both good tube and bus transport links.
