Exploring Central London?
We are only 3 minutes walk from Manor House tube station.
Finsbury Park/Manor House is one of London's biggest and most central transport hubs - it is only 10 minutes from Kings Cross/St Pancras.
Finsbury Park is serviced by 2 tube lines (Victoria Line and Piccadilly Line) and British Rail trains as well. So you have lots of choice for fast transport links into the West End. There are also a large number of buses that take you straight into town - 15 mins by bus to Camden Market - very fast!!
Local Areas of Interest?
The house is located close to two large parks (if you fancy a run). My husband and I are qualified athletics coaches who work with the UK's top Olympic coaches to train the local children/teenagers, and we can offer any advice on good places to train.
The trendy London area of Islington, with its bustling restaurants and curios shops - a bus leaves from 50 metres away and you will be there in 15 minutes. Stoke Newington is also one of London's top Bohemian areas and is only a 10 minute walk through Clissold Park.
If you like seeing Art, we have membership of the Royal Academy on Piccadilly which has some fabulous exhibitions - it is worth going just to enjoy the members room and the building's architecture!
Located in a large Victorian House, the room is sunny, warm and welcoming with a large bay window (with sash windows that can open), an original old Victorian feature fireplace, a double wrought iron bed and polished wooden floors, reminding you of its former life in Victorian times as a "gentleman's boarding house" - many original features still remain in the house - so a touch of London history.
The house has two shower rooms and one spa bathroom, plus a separate toilet and so you will never have to queue!! - so more time to explore London!
You also have two kitchens to choose from to use, both with their own dining areas.
We can also be very flexible on arrival and departure times. If you need to leave your bags after check-out we are happy to guard them, while you enjoy London - just return later to collect them.
We love to meet people from other countries and share what this wonderful city has to offer.

THE LOCAL AREA
THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE LONDON AT ITS BEST!!!
OXFORD STREET, the premier shopping street in Europe is under a mile(1km) walk from the apartment. It is one and a half miles(2km) from end to end and is a shoppers paradise. Most shops open 10am until 6 or 7pm. Many also open on Sunday from 12 to 6pm with late nights on Thursday. Oxford Street is best known for Selfridges and the other big department stores which are all found in the section from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus, along with most of the big-name multinationals such as Nike, Primark, Topshop, Apple, etc. It's more of the same towards Tottenham Court Road, but generally on a smaller scale. Oxford Street is said to be the busiest shopping street in Europe.
The section of Edgware Road near to Marble Arch is famous for its distinctive Middle-Eastern character. Lebanese restaurants, shisha cafes and clubs line both sides of the road, with some staying open late into the night. Marble Arch station is a few minutes walk from the southern end of Edgware Road.
Just a short step away from the tourist hordes, the apartment still has the feel of a real neighbourhood, the wealthy residents are becoming ever more attractive as Harley Street, the traditional home of England's best doctors, has recently become the heart of the UK's flourishing plastic surgery industry.
The beautiful architecture (the Wallace Collection is a must) and the open spaces of Regent's Park and Hyde Park make this a fine area to have a wander, when the sun's out there are fewer places in London as scenic and special as Hyde Park.
While Marylebone High Street is absolutely charming, lined with traditional pubs, beautiful boutiques and shops (including the flagship Daunt Books) and excellent local restaurants as well as an impressive mix of hotels - and a farmer's market every Saturday.
A short walk from Marylebone is the home of the most famous fictional detective in the world 'Sherlock Holmes' bachelor flat at 221B Baker Street and the popular waxworks at Madame Tussauds.

The Canary Wharf Business District and Bank "The City" are only just 8 minutes away by DLR as is the Stratford Olympic City and Westfield Stratford Shopping Mall for all looking to do a bit of sighting seeing and shopping. There are also a large variety of places to eat and a 24 hour Aspers casino to care for those feeling lucky in London.
Music lovers can spend an evening at the iconic 02 Arena for a pop concert of their favourite artist; this arena is also a good place to visit for drink or a meal. The journey by will take you on average 10 mins by train.
★ Getting Around | Langdon Park DLR station is just 3 minutes walk away. The most economic method of paying for public transport in London is to get an Oyster smartcard which enables you to travel on underground trains, overground trains. The Oyster card costs £5 deposit, and is returnable when you leave London at most underground stations.
