A duplex apartment in a great Lisbon location for tourists, artists and travelers close to main traditional best places of Lisbon.
It is a shared house, you will have your own room, but the kitchen, the living-room and the bathroom is shared with us.
You need just a 5 minute walk to get to the subway station Martim Moniz and to get the traditional tram lines 12 and 28 that will take you quickly to the best areas of Lisbon.
And a 10 to 20 minute walk to downtown Lisbon like Rossio, Baixa-Chiado, Bairro Alto and Praça do Comércio.
The house is in a traditional Lisbon building that has some curious aspects: when you walk down the stairs you may see and smell the washed clothes drying, or the smell of grilled fish from the traditional café/restaurant St. André. It is near Calçada de Santo André and Costa do Castelo.
When you enter the door you feel you are in cozy home.
On one side, by the kitchen you may see children playing and women talking while setting the clothes outside to dry.
On the other side is the living-room overlooking a street where the historical Lisbon tram passes.
On the second floor there is the small nice room for you, that has the privacy you will need, to have a restful night.
You can use the kitchen if you need to cook. I will be available to get anything you may need.
Internet access is available in the living-room and kitchen.
I provide towels and bedclothes and there is a washing machine if you need to wash your clothes and put them to dry.
My home is in between great sightseeing places such as miradouro da Graça and Portas do Sol, Castelo São Jorge and Chapitô, a beautiful circus school with its own theater, bar, restaurant and handicraft shop.
You can walk to historical neighborhoods like Alfama and find the traditional Fado and european restaurants, and to Mouraria and go to traditional indian, chinese, african portuguese shops and restaurants.
Every Tuesdays and Saturdays you can find for a cheap price not all you can imagine in a great flea market, called Feira da Ladra from 6 a.m. to 16 p.m.
Besides, I may help you to get information about the lively Lisbon cultural nightlife.
