A big apartment that was perfect for our family. Beautifully decorated throughout with home comforts. My little boy loved the bunk bed!!! This is perfect for a family. In a lovely location with some pretty walks nearby.
We have rented several places in the area over the last few years and this was, by far, our favorite. The location was ideal - close and convenient to everything. The apartments (we rented both!) were immaculate and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend these apartments and would stay here again in a heartbeat. And we found our new favorite pub in Boston - James Gate, just down the street - excellent food! (One slight caution: the stairs are winding and narrow. If you have difficulty with stairs or have extra large bags, you may want to take this into consideration. It was not an issue at all for us - but could be for some)
The apartment was beautifully decorated. It was clean as a whistle and there were plenty of towels, even supplying toiletries for those that forget. The kitchen came with ever appliance needed. It boasted very comfy beds.
The area, Jamaica Plain, is great. The owners even provided a few local recommendations. There were plenty of organic and independent supermarket choices, our favorites being the Co-Op food store and for a great dining experience, the Ten Tables restaurant is a must.
Getting in and out of the city was easy, the subway station was close. Location was a definite plus point, taking only 15 mins to get into Boston.
There were 5 of us visiting from Europe so the size and location of the apartment was perfect. I'd recommend it to any friends visiting Boston, and may visit myself again! Thanks for making our trip to Boston superb!!
The rental is great. Spotlessly clean, with plenty of clean linen, full kitchen and comfy beds and sofas.
Jamaica Plain is a great area. Very handy for subway, train and bus routes. Easy access to Boston - about 10-15 mins on the subway. It's also got a lot of character with loads of independent shops and restaurants. We loved the co-op food store and Ten Tables restaurant. There's also loads of parks nearby - not to mention the beautiful Jamaica Pond.
We absolutely loved it here - the apartment and the location.
Minor points - The kettle is great to look at but pretty difficult to use! Always use an oven glove to pick up and pour!! There's no washer or dryer - but the laundrette is a couple of minutes walk away.
Wir haben die Wohnung mit einer vierköpfigen Familie bewohnt. Dafür bietet die Wohnung viel Platz. Sie ist komplett und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben alles in einem guten und sauberen Zustand vorgefunden. Der Stadtteil Jamaica Plain ist ein grüner und ruhiger Stadtteil und es war angenehm, nach einer anstrengenden Besichtigungstour durch das Zentrum Bostons hierhin zurück zu kommen. Nach 10-15 Minuten Fußweg hat man mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants zur Verfügung. Zur U-Bahn-Station Green Street (T Orange Line) geht man fünf bis 10 Minuten zu Fuß und dann sind es ca. 15 Minuten Fahrt in die Innenstadt. Eine empfehlenswerte Alternative zum Hotel. Die Vermieterin wohnt im Haus, war während unseres Aufenthaltes selbst verreist, was aber kein Problem für unseren Aufenthalt darstellte.
I read all of the reviews before booking this home and it was as convenient as everyone says. The place is cozy, has great restaurants in the area and is close to the "T" to get to downtown. Olive was very responsive to my emails. If we come back to Boston we will surely try to stay here again.
The apartment was great and the owner was very helpful in booking and handling details. Not a long walk to the train stop, so you can get almost anywhere in Boston easily. Jamaica Plain was a nice area and we enjoyed some places right in the neighborhood. Only problem was that some of the plugs in the house did not work, so finding places to plug in all our phones was fun.
The house was beautiful and comfortable. Our family of five really enjoyed our time in Jamaica Plains at this apartment. We had a great time sitting out on the porch in the mornings and cooking in the kitchen. Olive was terrific to work with!
The apartment was very comfortable with all the necessities provided. The location is very good with a short stroll to the T and also close to local shops.
As three more mature visitors (from Australia) the stairs were a little steep with luggage but manageable.
We loved Boston
The location for this rental is perfect if you like to be a bit outside the city with parks and green grass, but VERY easily access the city. The T was a short and easy walk away and we went into the city every day we were there. There were also more playgrounds nearby than our two girls could ever have imagined (ages 6 and almost 4). The rental itself was great. Very clean and comfortable. Olive is a pleasure to deal with - super responsive and not at all invasive when you are in the rental. My husband's parents also stayed their with us as well as our dog (a Boxer) and it worked out great. We would definitely recommend this rental!
My wife and I had a fantastic time staying here. Boston was a ton of fun. We were very impressed by the accommodations and all the ammenities that were available to us. There were no worries about bringing supplies for the kitchen or anything of that nature we had everything we needed. The Train (T) and Bus were a short walk through a nice park and you could get to the heart of boston in 15min. We only stayed for 3 nights and that was not enough time since there was so much to see and do in Boston. The best part of the trip was realizing that Sam Adams Brewery is 5 min away from here and being able to sample there beer as well as eating at Doyles after the tour (great bar and food within walking distance).
