'Ocean's One-Eleven' Nantasket Beach Summer Paradise
Now accepting bookings for May — October 2014.
Newly purchased and renovated Nantasket Beach house for rent Spring/Summer/Fall 2014. Just a few minutes walk to the beach at Kenberma, the best part of Nantasket Beach. Located on Samoset Ave, t …
We had a lovely stay here for a week in May. Lots of living space, big garden for the children, and a very tastefully decorated and clean place. It was a little too early in the season to make the most of the beach, but the house had everything we needed for a great break.
I can't say enough good things about this property and the owners. We had a very nice welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived and the house was spotless.
The property itself is ideal: just a few short blocks to the beach, plenty of room in the kitchen and living room. The bedrooms are quite large and the thanks to the bunk beds in one room there is plenty or room for family and friends.
Everything about our stay was fabulous! We were just minutes away from the beach and great restaurants. The house was impeccable and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone!
I booked "Ocean's 111" as a family reunion at the beach; my brother and I grew up in Hingham (a neighboring town), are living in Europe and on the West Coast, respectively, and this lovely beach house was the perfect fit for us. The owners have seriously considered all the details necessary for a beach house rental:
* They provided ample beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and even a dolly made for the beach to haul everything up and back. Oh- and the outdoor, fully enclosed shower was utilized every day after the beach.
* The home has been refinished with very nice touches: hardwoods gleam on the first floor and the upstairs has thick "berber" carpeting. Rooms all have powerful ceiling fans (necessary since it was hot and humid the week we were there) and the house was supplied with additional standing fans as well.
* The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and everything you need for meal preparation (both families had young children so we ate in and needed a fully functional kitchen). The big eat-in table was headquarters for us morning, noon, and nighttime.
* Ample towels provided as well- always a must when you're showering 8 people every day after the beach.
* The sun room on the first floor and additional storage was the perfect place to leave all the beach attire- don't overlook the folding "dry rack" for bathing suits! I didn't discover this until mid-stay. There is also an outdoor "clothes line" but we'd forget to bring in suits and some nights it rained.
*Bed linens and quilts are a step up- no poly-brand, tacky quilt- these were all cotton and lightweight. VERY tasteful.
*Two other bonuses: 1. the fenced in, large backyard was AWESOME for our kids! We'd send them out to play wiffle ball while dinner was getting prepared; 2. The raised table/swivel bar stools on the front porch. The back of the house gets the direct sun in the afternoon and evening (where the eat-in kitchen is) so we started having meals outside here. There's a great breeze and it's shaded.
BTW: I was traveling with an infant and I noticed a month before check-in the house didn't have a high chair or portable crib. When I mentioned this to the owners, they IMMEDIATELY PURCHASED THEM!
Paul, one of the owners, came to the house the second day of our stay and introduced himself. It was clear he and his partners are dedicated to providing a quality vacation experience for all of their guests. We will be returning to Ocean's 111 for years to come.
Oceans 111 is a great family beach house. My husband and I stayed there with our son, daughter-in-law, and their 2 year old, along with my daughter,son-in-law, and their two young sons. Owners thoughtfully provided a pack and play crib and highchair . There was plenty of living space for all of us to enjoy, even with the addition of visiting friends. The beautiful beach is close by and we easily walked to Weinbergs cafe and the grocery each day. We had everything we needed, especially fans which adequately cooled the house during an especially hot week. Owners are friendly and so helpful. Hull is a great small town with all you need for a wonderful family vacation.
The rentals location is restful - with quality restaurants, a topnotch bakery, a good grocery store, and friendly, accommodating people.
The photos of this listing are 100% accurate in demonstrating the cleanliness, comfort, and bright environment of the rental. It is a practical and charming "home, away from home."
The welcome included wine and good restaurant recommendations followed up by the very
responsive owner's visit. We knew we had made "the" correct choice .
The house is well equipped, light and airy throughout, and includes a sunroom for getaway reading.
Families will especially appreciate this rental for its amenities.
The wonderful beach is a short 2-block walk from the front door.
A ferry can take you into Boston - no need to drive.
Walks around the town make you feel like you belong.
We came to the Boston area for medical reasons and needed a place to stay for 2 weeks. This house was perfect! I would love to come back during the season and stay for vacation. We were so close to the beach. Being from the mid-west, we soaked up every second we could, even in rainy cold weather. The location would be perfect during warm weather.
The house was great. Very clean. Everything you need is already here. We didn't need to bring anything extra. Paul and Lee have thought of everything. It's obvious that they care about making your vacation the best it can be. I would highly recommend the house.
Summer Paradise is exactly what this house is! My husband and I spent a week at 'Ocean's One-Eleven' and truly had one of the best weeks we've ever had. We spent the week there with our two sons, (2.5 years old and 3 months old), and we had friends/family come to visit. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was immaculate and decorated beautifully. From the second we walked through the front door, we felt right at home! The house is in a great location..just steps away from the beach and really close to some fabulous restaurants. We already reserved a week for summer '2013.
This was an ideal place for our family's summer vacation. We live in Spain and had booked the house sight unseen and were truly delighted when we arrived. We have relatives in the area and wanted a two-week holiday nearby and Oceans 111 exceeded our expectation. It was fully-equipped, clean and comfortable and worked well for some of the days when we had as many as 9 staying overnight. My daughter celebrated her wedding shower there with about 25 ladies and was very pleased. We really enjoy the beach at Nantaskett and being just minutes walk away was fantastic. Plus the beach chairs and towels supplied made it easy from the first moment we got there. The outdoor shower, the BBQ and the front porch also made things very comfortable for us. Proximity to the beach and the town shops meant that we rarely needed to pull the car out. I'd especially like to commend the owners for the thought and care they put into decorating the house. There were lots of nice details that really made it feel like one's own vacation home at the beach.
We enjoyed a wonderful week here and cannot say enough about the owners and the top notch accomodations. So much nicer than many of our hotel stays! There is absolutely nothing they haven't thought of or planned for to make the experience the best for their guests. It exceeded our expectations in every way from the welcome basket with the wine and suggestion book, to the immaculate house complete with linens, towels, beach towels, chairs, etc. The huge front porch provided a relaxing place to entertain when the weather didn't cooperate and the big back yard was perfect for grilling and playing. The beautiful clean beach is a short walk, as is the adorable town center which has grocery and hardware stores, a pharmacy, a wonderful bakery and a few other shops. The sunsets were gorgeous! This was, by far, the best family reunion experience and location we have ever had in 20 years! We highly recommend it.
My family and I stayed at Oceans 111 in July 2012. From the first conversation I had with Lee I knew it would be the perfect vacation home for us! On the day of our arrival we were greeted by Rich, who was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and activities that we would all enjoy. The house was IMMACULATE which is definitely at the top of my list in terms of priorities! The owners considered all of the amenities you would have at home from the gas grill to the boogie boards, games, beach towels, beach cart and more! The outdoor shower was a huge plus as the kids (and adults) could head straight to the (large fenced in) backyard and shower without bringing all of the sand inside after a long day at the beach! The beach and local grocery store (Riddles) were both a 5 minute walk from the house which again was great, especially with young children! I cannot say enough about both the home and the owners and can't wait to return next summer!!!
This was our first time at 111 Samoset. The house was large enough to accomodate my wife and I and our son and daughter and their spouses and children (2 each) who spent the first week with us. The property was in excellant condition and more than met our needs. The owners were very responsive and their pre-planning was above and beyond anything I had ever seen for a summer rental. Wonderful touches all the way around.
Although the house is not air conditioned, that was rarely an issue because of the fairly constant breezes coming off the ocean side or the bay side and the ceiling fans throughout the house. The beach is a 4 minute walk from the house, allowing for lunch/bathroom/shade breaks without losing much time.
If we go back to Hull next summer, I would definitely want this house again.
