Puget Sound Waterfront Home--Epic Views of Olympics, Sunsets
Beautiful new waterfront beach house with 180 degree views of the Case Inlet and the Olympic mountains, including three stories of epic views and sunsets in a wonderfully serene setting. No ferry ride is necessary--the home is just across from He …
Lovely, clean, up to date home, well furnished with a great kitchen. It is in a perfect spot: good yard space to play, nice sandy bottom swim beach; also a small tidal basin to explore with the grandchildren, safe canoeing area and wonderful sunset views. Minor improvement could be making sure basics such as dish washing liquid, extra kitchen garbage bags, and bath soap are in place. The second canoe was padlocked, so be sure to ask about that key. The road leading to the house had no shoulder for safe biking, it was narrow and with the rolling hills making difficult to see what is over each crest, so we opted to not take the family biking. However, that will not keep us from returning. We highly recommend the Herron House.
Spent a weekend in July with my daughter and four of her best friends to celebrate her Sweet 16. The girls (and I) had an absolutely fabulous time! The best thing about the house was the different spaces it provided: the living/dining room (for games and puzzle building), the loft (for watching movies), the master bedroom (for more games, endless chatting, and what little sleeping took place), and a bedroom on a separate floor so I could be available but keep a low profile. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking in for the weekend and the girls had a ton of fun taking the canoes out again and again and experiencing the ever-changing tidal beach. This house and its views are absolutely beautiful! Communication with the owners was terrific from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
I rented this cabin for my 30th birthday! It was incredible!! My boyfriend and I came up the first night by ourselves. It was the perfect romantic retreat. Spacious master with great views and every amenity you could desire.
We had a dinner party the following night with a few friends. The house is perfect for entertaining! The open floor plan and the deck with a BBQ made a great night!
The following two nights were just a couple of us at the which provided more then enough space. We spent the days exploring the beach and visiting a local winery, if you get the time go visit Claude and Claudia at Trillium Creek Winery (make sure you have two or three extra hours, but it's well worth it). They were incredible.
Long story short! Ill be coming back! The place was gorgeous, easy and relaxing. What more could you want
We spent President's Day Weekend in this lovely house. What a retreat! So much attention to detail makes this house feel like a home. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfy and there was plenty of room for our family of 4 plus dog. Even in the winter I highly recommend this house, the views from every room are dramatic, the beach just steps away and there are plenty of nearby restaurants & hikes. Thank you for sharing your amazing home.
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 2 glorious weeks in this magnificent home. During our stay, another couple spent a week with us as well as our daughter and 2 yr old granddaughter. The house has plenty of space to accomodate a family. Everything has been well thought out to assure your complete comfort in feeling like you are home. The views offered from the decks, the living areas and the yard make you fall in love with Herron beach. Spend time there and enjoy the water, sun on the decks, or explore the waterfront on foot or kayak. Hop in the car and the day destinations are limitless and so varied.
Have a wonderful time in a truly fabulous home!
Thank you Tracy and Craig!
Your Herron Island home is great! It was relaxing at its best. The first night I slept like a baby in the downstairs master bedroom. The room was spacious for sprawling out our things and our kids. The bed was very comfy! The morning brought for nice natural light in the kitchen and tasty breakfasts!
The walks on the beach and paddling in the canoe were fun! Rose had a great time playing and painting in the yard with gramma and grampa.
The kitchen/living room space was great for all our family/friend dinners and gatherings! Your house has more than enough room!
The neighborhood was quiet and loved watching the ferry come and go. The sunsets were beautiful as well as the hikes at nearby penrose park!
Thank you so much! Aloha, Julie
This is a perfect quite family vacation spot. Epic views are an understatement. We had 3 generations together for the 4th of July holiday week. The grand hildren loved watching the fireworks over the water from the comfort of our private deck. Our family hopes to return year after year.
Thank you so much for opening your lovely home. Please send the blueprints !! we would love to put this same home on the Atlantic Ocean.
My husband and I were delighted to stay at the Herron Beach House this spring. The house is a state-of-the-art spacious design and brand-new too! My husband was impressed by the beautifully cut vertical-grain trim throughout the house, match with metal railings that run though the staircases and soaring entertainment loft. The floor to ceiling windows frame different vignettes of the Puget Sound landscape as you walk through the house.
It is remote from the Seattle-Tacoma area for a truly tranquil getaway. Because the house sits right on the Puget Sound, there is the opportunity for canoeing, kayaking, hiking and beach bar-b-queuing. We thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular sunset and sunrise over the Olympic Peninsula and mountain range.
The furnishings are a wonderful collection of mid-century modern with Scandinavian country charm. It's perfect (with enough space and privacy) for any combination of family or friends, or just 2 getting away. It's chilly during Pacific Northwest evenings, be sure to bring an extra sweater for nighttime beach strolls!
Our family was lucky enough to stay in this amazing home recently and it totally exceeded our expectations! The home is super modern and comfortable and the location is beautiful. Our kids loved playing on the sandy beach, which was just steps away. We will definitely be back!
