The apartment itself is in the basement of a converted factory, it is open plan, has access to a large back garden with a barbeque area. There is a desk available to you in the main area as well as free wi-fi There also a projector for watching films and a table tennis table. The double bed is on a platform so if you have mobility issues this not for you (sorry). The room is private, clean, fresh and comfortable and has its own TV. There are cooking facilities — microwave, small cooker, fridge, etc, which you have access to. Smoking area outside.

<span>The flat is situated in the up and coming area of Stratford, east London, most notable for being the main Olympic / Paralympic site for 2012. The flat is 5-10 minutes walk from the main site or less than 5 minutes via bus. Public transport links are excellent within the local area -there is a bus stop directly outside of the flat, whereby you can be taken directly to the local tube station / rail / bus station.</span>
<p><span>The kitchen is fully equipped for all kinds of cooking.</span></p>

The flat is about 400 meters from New Cross Station, which gives you access to the Overground and the mainline railway (Note: the Overground is connected to the tube/underground - it just runs over ground - all tickets are valid). Deptford Bridge Station is even closer. From here the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) will take you to Greenwhich and Canary Wharf.
There are also numerous buses, which pass New Cross Road and go straight to central London, including several night buses, so you can always get home no matter what time of night! You can be in Trafalgar Square (by train) in just 15 minutes. The vibrant and eclectic area of Shoreditch is also just 15 minutes on the Overground. The location is ideal for any tourist or person working in central London!
So far all the guests in the flat have been very nice, interesting, responsible and very respectful of one another. I believe that they have all enjoyed their stay. The apartment is maintain daily to a high standard.
In the local area you will find everything you need for a great stay; there are 24 hour food shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, some really nice traditional English pubs and the famous Deptford Market all within walking distance of the flat. The flat is very close to Goldsmith University campus, so could be an ideal base if you are visiting the university for a conference.

A microcosm of London's shifting ethnic patterns, the area around Brick Lane in East London was once associated with poor slums and the scene of the crime for the Jack the Ripper murders. Whilst the notorious pub Ten Bells still stands, the area itself is now extremely popular with London’s edgy and artistic crowd, featuring galleries, restaurants, markets and festivals throughout the year.
The Old Truman Brewery at 91 Brick Lane houses a vibrant market where up-and-coming designers set up shop every Sunday selling a unique variety of clothes, handbags and jewellery. There are also vintage clothing stores and chic boutiques dotted around the area.
As a hub of London's Bangladeshi community, Brick Lane has always been famed for its many authentic curry restaurants. It now also has a reputation for its warehouse art exhibitions and trendy clubs and bars. So, before your East London experience is complete, be sure to head to the Vibe Bars beer garden or 93 Feet East (150 Brick Lane) which has become an East End institution well known for its eclectic mix of live music and intimate atmosphere.
A really vibrant area with so much to do when you are not busy out there shopping.
