This was a comfortable little house in the large, olive grove, garden of the owner. The owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful and her dogs were charming and equally welcoming. Although the village was nothing special, it had nice friendly shops, an excellent restaurant and was fairly quiet. The house was basic but pleasant with a bit of a lottery figuring out which lights worked and which didn't. As a reasonably priced base to explore the delights of the Lazio region and for day trips by very cheap train into Rome it was perfect and we had a great holiday. Thank you.
The property is nice, definitely need a drive to get around but I booked it for a few days towards the end of my trip with my mum. So after a week of travelling around, was a really nice escape! Liz and her daughter are absolutely briliant very helpful, definitely recommend the place.
My husband and I spent a portion of our honeymoon at Liz's beautiful little cottage. The cottage is very cozy and romantic and has everything that you will need even for an extended stay. The area is very pretty with a couple of markets within walking distance that supply everything you need. It is very close to the train station for excursions out. Liz is a wonderful and very personable hostess. She has a wealth of information about the area and will go above and beyond to make your holiday special. Her two dogs were very welcome visitors each day to the cottage and we very much enjoyed their company. I highly recommend spending your holiday in this lovely cottage.
The cottage had everything required for a wonderful holiday, the garden was a lovely place to relax at the end of a busy day. Liz was a mind of information and advice which really helped make our holiday special. The two dogs made it seem like a home instead of a rental. Excellent base for visiting Rome and getting out and about with Liz's expert advice on suitable locations. Cottage very suitable for person's with limited mobility
We stayed for a week in Liz and Toni's annex during a driving tour of Europe and it proved to be the ideal oasis for us. It is quaint, perfectly sized, well-equipped and comfortable. The olive trees, jasmine scents and colourful oleanders were a bonus ; the friendly dogs, and country noises (braying donkey, crowing cockerel) added to the bucolic atmosphere. Having the car was a definite bonus for the many local trips available and allowed us to bring home plenty of beautiful Frascati wine from the wonderful vineyard 10 minutes away. Public transport is best for trips to Rome and is handy-by. Liz is the perfect hostess, genuinely helpful, friendly, yet never intrusive. Without her guidance and suggestions we would not have had half as much fun as we did! We have already recommended Liz, this cottage, Rome, Frascati, Hadrian's Villa, Castel Gandolfo, Lake Albano ...to all our friends and family!
The cottage was very comfortable and in a great position for Rome and the the Latzio area. Liz and Toni were very friendly and helpful. Liz was very knowledgeable about the area and the things to see, she was very attentive and made our stay a pleasure.
From the very first moment, the cottage seemed like home. Liz and the dogs welcomed us and we settled in immediately. It is a delightful cottage with everything that you could need - well planned, comfortably furnished, clean, quiet and happy. The location is superb - a village with a shop which sells everything (including delicious home-made pasta); the metro line to the centre of Rome is just a twenty-minute drive away; there is a station on the main railway line close by, and buses and supermarkets are very convenient. Frascati and other small, delightful hill-top towns are just a few minutes away. You are also just a few kilometres from the motorway system and well-placed for trips to Tivoli, the mountains, the coast, and endless wonderful towns and villages. On the lazy days when you decide not to go out, the cottage is a lovely place to be - cooler and quieter than Rome. Liz is full of advice and practical tips about everything and we really appreciated her friendly presence. The visitors' book is full of happy people who have loved the place, and we willingly added our names to theirs. We would recommend the cottage to anyone. Lesley and Roger, Yorkshire
This was a nice stay for over one week. It is a clean and cosy place. Just outside you find a little shop and a bus stop It is comfortably to rent a car, but you can get there by bus and train as well. Our children loved dogs and the garden. And Liz is a very welcoming host.
We stayed in Liz Rose and her husbands cottage in the late October. All 4 of us fitted comfortably in the cottage and could enjoy the lovely garden (although we traveled a lot so there was no time for it). The cottage has everything you need for a rest and cosy evenings - even the fireplace to warm yourself if the weather is not that nice:) The owner - Liz - is very sweet and generous woman, as well as her husband. They made everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible and gave us a lot of very useful recommendations. We were lucky to participate in the Olive picking fest when all the closest friends and family members gathered together to pick the true southern gold - olives - by hand. We had delicious lunch together and met very nice people. The place itself is in a very good location - train station is just 3 km away from the cottage. The car although is highly recommended if you plan to see the surroundings. If you plan only to visit Rome it is not necessary. We would surely recommend this place for our friends and family and would love to come back.
We had a lovely holiday at the cottage. Liz was a great host, v helpful and full of useful tips for places to vist nearby. There's also a good selection of mps and literature on the local area in the flat. We hired a car and that did make it easier for getting around, buying groceries etc although there is a bus that runs quite regularly and a train station a couple of km away, with a direct connection to Rome. The cottage is well equipped and has a nice little garden where we often ate breakfast. We often had visits from two of Liz's dogs but they're really sweet, stay outside if you tell them to, and are really no trouble at all. There is a sofa bed in the lounge and my sister came to visit us for couple of days which was fine but not ideal for any longer than that. The cottage is really best suited to couples I'd say. It is a bit dark in the living room as there's only a small window at the rear, but as the weather was so nice we spent most of the time outside anyway. I'd recommend this cottage to anyone who would like to see Rome but not be stuck in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The surrounding area is also really picturesque and worth checking out- in fact out of our 9 day holiday we only spent two days in Rome and the rest seeing the local sights.
We (2 adults, 2 children) spent a fantastic week in this lovely, very well furnished cottage near Rome. The landlady is very hospitable, helpful and has given us a lot of very good sightseeing tips. Our children enjoyed playing with the landlady's two dogs in the huge, beautiful garden and feeding the neighbours' donkeys and goats. The location of the cottage is ideal for trips to Rome and the surrounding areas. We rent a car and made lovely day trips to Ostia, Tivoli, Frascati and Subiaco. It is very easy to get to Rome using the train. There is a large supermarket just 5-10 minutes away by car and just a few steps away from the cottage there is a small shop, where you get all you need and where you can even order home-made pasta. We really enjoyed our holidays here at the cottage and would recommend it without reservations.
We´ve spent 6 wonderful days in Fraskati. The cottage is gut located for visiting Rome, the seaside and all the sights around Rome. It´s worth visiting Villa dÉste in Tivoli, Via Appia Antica in Rome and the little town Nemi. We liked the cottage and our daughter liked to play with two dogs in the garden and to feed the neighbour donkey and goats. We really enjoyed our holidays.
This house is nicely situated, quiet and a bit away from the mainroad. A cosy little house with a beautiful garden. We enjoied to stay here for a couple of days, relaxed and always guarded by two cuddly and friendly dogs. The feeling to come back to this peaceful place after trips to Frascati with the terrible trafic was shear heaven. And finally, Liz, a lovely landlady who spoiled us every evening with an excellent digestif gave us good information. A place to come back again.

      Villa Maria Bed & Breakfast
In sweet hinterland of Tuscany countryside, just few steps from Vicopisano, an ancient medieval suburb, you can find B&B VILLA MARIA. B&B VILLA MARIA, wholly ruled by its young owner, means skill, luxury and kindness. The activity is carried on in a old farmhouse aged '800 completely restored through the traditional style of Tuscany. Its philosophy corresponds to a countryside's B&B, rich of charming details in a very warm atmosphere.A particular theme is dedicated to each room, carefully furnished by the owner, who, thanks to his unique taste for beautiful things and details, has refined and differentiate them one from another. Each morning intercontinental breakfast is served on the veranda, between wistaria falls and lavender scent, with a splendid view on the swimming pool, placed in the middle its flowered garden.Just few Kilometres far from Villa Maria you can find LUCCA with its Walls aged '500 and the beautiful Villas, or Pisa with the famous leaning tower. Florence is only 50 km far, and it's easy to reach it by train or by car. It is not less important the trekking on Apuane Mountains and Viareggio seaside. Do not forget the music! This ancient Village is still maintaining an urban style dated '200 thanks to its medieval buildings completely preserved. Narrow streets, steps, widen streets are the ingredients of this suggestive atmosphere together with its architectural jewels like the Fortress designed by Filippo Brunelleschi ( see the picture), all the integral towers of ancient medieval Domus, The Pretorio Palace, The Town Hall.
