TALES FROM THE GUEST BOOK
We enjoyed our stay amongst the birds and made the most of every aspect of this little haven. We had several family gatherings and the BBQ (and) attention to detail was a bonus. Hospitality was unobtrusive. M.L. & H. C., Canberra, 2/14
With your wonderful brochures, tips from other travellers, and your notebooks crammed with information, we never had to worry about what to do. The challenge was always how to select just one or two per day, and not try to do everything! We have found Sydneysiders, and all Australians for that matter, to be the kindest and most helpful people we have ever met — an opinion that we have found agreement with from other tourists we have met.
Best of all, we could always come "home" to Mum's House to take a hot shower and fix a meal of comfort food or bring in tasty delights from the local Asian restaurants. All the while, we are being entertained by the hyperactive lorikeets or the elegant cockatoo in "our" feeders. It was actually a treat to one day come back early to wash our clothes and hang them to dry in the warm sun.

Jim and I have … gone everywhere and seen just beautiful sights! We have loved being able to cook our own meals and not have to eat out all the time.
We have used the trains, ferries and buses. Sydney's public transportation is SO easy to use and convenient!
Our daily alarm clock will be missed when we get home. The birds are amazing!

Seeing a different country from a hotel room is never as good as staying in a home, for that's how I felt about my stay. I called it going home every night. It's good I took so many pictures of ..the birds..; I can't believe I saw such beautiful (exotic) creatures outside every morning.
I do hope I can come back again, maybe bring my daughter, as I know she would love to come.

I found "Mum's House" through Trip Advisor; since then the kids were looking forward to staying here … We will never forget Sydney, partly because of "Mum's House", you and Snowy, the dog. It is our wish that "Mum's House" will continue to provide a delightful stay for people around the world.
