Just North of Chicago, close to the Lake and Northwestern University and Purple Line El and the Metra trains to Downtown Chicago. Beautiful vintage furnished apartment can sleep up to 5. Custom marble bath and Jacuzzi. Laundry in the basement. Fre …

Apartment was very nice-sized, comfortable and well equipped. Nice location on a nice street with friendly neighbors! The battery in our car died and apartment owner was available to help, as well as several neighbors. Would definitely stay here again.
I visit Chicago and Evanston often. Most of my very large, close knit family lives there. I needed to be close to them but I did not want to be together every minute. I could have stayed at a hotel downtown. I chose this place because the photo showed a room full of books and a desk. Those are the kind of rooms that remind me of home. The apartment was as described. It was peaceful and quiet. I felt comfortable right away. The owner's parents were so welcoming, kind and thoughtful. I hope to go there again next year. I had a wonderful time.
This apartment is quite exactly as described. If you are looking for a sterile, but stereotypical hotel room, then this isn't the place for you. This is more like a comfortable homestay with friends. We were pleasantly surprised to find fruit, milk, juice, fresh Tuscan bread, even cereal and eggs in the apartment. Most delightful for us was the fact that the owner's father and mother (lovely people) were right on the premises in case we needed anything. Everything we needed was available, but the kitchen space might be considered a bit cramped because of a large size table for six. However, the feeling was warm, comfortable and homey. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure in Evanston for the weekend.
My friends and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. Everything was as described and very clean and the owners kindly brought us food and stocked the fridge with some basics. They thought about everything we'd need and then some. Overall there was no hassle in getting the place and using everything we needed. Great experience!
A small gift as a token for my appreciation for your hospitality. I loved my stay and enjoyed the lovely, accommodating apartment! Fondly yours,
We had a very nice time (even though the Vikings played very poorly). It was fun spending time with our grandson!! Thank You,
My husband and I just finished a two week stay over the Christmas holiday. Had another option been avaiable, we would have moved on the day after we arrived. The apartment, as advertised is old. Paint was chipping in the one bedroom. Our major complaint was how dirty it was. Both the kitchen floor and the bathroom floor were absolutely filthy. There were crumbs and dirt under the TV console in the living room. I tried to clean the floors with paper towels as we could find no cleaning supplies. Even the dishes in the china cabinet in the kitchen were covered in dust. It was not charming. All of the drawers and many cabinets were taped shut, so my husband ended up leaving his clothes on the top of a dresser with taped drawers. The closet door in the only bedroom was tied shut and it could not be opened. Plastic tarps covered the bookcases in the living room and what had been turned into a study, giving both rooms a rather inhospitable appearance. We have used VRBO before so were we're not expecting the standards of a hotel, but were certainly expected more than this apartment.
