Things to do in Costa Rica
You cannot go to Costa Rica without wanting to explore its diversity. Whether you want your first stop to be the beach or the rainforest, you can't do one without the other. Corcovado National Park, Manuel Antonio National Park, and Tortuguero National Park are just a few of the parks that cover the country. Zip line canopy tours in Costa Rica are a popular way to get in your rainforest fill. Soar through the trees and spot colorful birds and playful monkeys flying right alongside you. Or go rafting through the forest via one of the many rivers running through Costa Rica. Watch out for spectacular waterfalls. Arenal Volcano is the famous must-see of Costa Rica. Hike up this active volcano then hit the Tabacon Hot Springs at the bottom.
Kick off your hiking boots and head to the beaches on the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica, home to resorts and turquoise waters. Guanacaste is a great place for surfing as is Puerto Viejo in the east (Puerto Viejo also has great diving opportunities). Make the great capital of San Jose your home base. In the center of everything, you can access great tours all around the country right from this city hub.
