From the road level entrance hall, you look over a large open-plan lounge and dining area with breath-taking views extending from the Twelve Apostles mountain range over the Camps Bay beach with the Atlantic Ocean to Lion’s Head and the famous Table Mountain cable car station.
Master bedroom and bathroom:
Floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors provide the most spectacular views from the king-size bed looking over the Atlantic ocean. The master bedroom features a walk-in dressing room for his & her’s with plenty of hanging, drawer and cupboard space and a full length mirror.
The master bathroom of 60 m2 opens up into a glass covered conservatory, where massive Table Mountain rocks have been retained into the architecture around the free standing bath and shower. A marble floating vanity counter features two basins, towel heater, and hair dryer, weight scale and other amenities are provided.
Middle Patio and front bedroom:
Floor to ceiling glass sliding doors open up on to the covered middle patio which lead down through the garden on to the pool and entertainment area, and the west facing windows provide stunning sun sets in the afternoon. A fully equipped office with cinema screen, iMac, printer, and scanner is available for those who need to stay in touch with their business during holidays.
Also nick named “The Cave”, this 60 m2 room is nestled into the table mountain rock structure on multiple levels and is in a very private and quiet wing of the house. It features under-floor heating, surround sound entertainment and Apple TV system as well as romantic LED mood lighting in a corner lounge area.
Ground floor entertainment, kitchen, sauna and wine cellar:
On descending down to the ground level, the area opens up to a magnificent fully equipped kitchen, sports bar with TV and indoor/outdoor surround speakers and an outdoor entertainment area. A wooden pergola provides the necessary shade for the outdoor seating and dining area on the hot summer days.
Garden, pool and deck:
The 80,000 liter pool has a shallow kids and cocktail section, an 8m infinity rim-flow with a floating day bed and a 100 m2 suspended wooden deck as well as a water feature on its 1.80m deep end. The back side of the pool feature wall boasts a 6 meter climbing wall which is popular with kids of all ages.
The house is built at highest standards with mainly European imported appliances. Every room is wired with CAT5 Ethernet and on top of that has 12 Wifi-amplifiers throughout the main house, guest house, garden, pool/outdoor area and garage providing a strong high-speed Internet signal. Apple TVs and hidden speakers allow guests to stream music and videos throughout every room in the house which can be controlled from iPad, iPhone or any other Apple device connected to the house network.
Accept for wooden areas, the whole house has underfloor heating and a gas fireplace on the top floor. Most of the lighting is converted to energy-saving LED lights controlled by a complete home-automation system. Lights and scenes can be controlled from phone/iPad and switch on automatically prior sunset to suit guests' needs.
Although Camps Bay is one of the safest places in Cape Town, the property is secured through an electric fence, wireless motion-sensor beams, 12 CCTV cameras, door and window sensors, an alarm system linked to armed response and security firm as well as private patrol company from 6pm until 6am every night.
