Elegant Suite Near Harvard Sq
**Calendar is not up to date. Please call or email us for availability.**
A most elegant condominium awaits you on the first floor of this lovely 1860 Victorian home close to Harvard Square. The 30' living/be …
This is a great find - on site parking, a large living room/bed area, separate bathroom, and large kitchen, with all the necessary appliances. Owner lives next door but is completely unobtrusive. About a 10 minute walk to Central Square ( T stop for Red Line) , 7 minutes to Whole Foods and 15 minute walk to Harvard Square. Downsides are minor - a bit dark overall, foot noise from above and really crappy cable; oitherwise, we greatly enjoyed our week at this locaiton and would return if in Cambridge/Boston again.
Doreen, Canada - My daughter and I had a very pleasant stay at this lovely suite during October. Spacious and elegant describe the living quarters with a short walk to transportation, groceries or just a friendly cup of coffee at one of the local shops. The area is beautiful with the tree lined streets and it was a delight to sit and relax on the deck. I would definitely make reservations again.
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights with our two young children, and were so glad to be where we were. Prefectly located between Central Square and Harvard Square, with easy access to MANY dining options and stores, this apartment is the perfect place to stay! Murray was such a gracious host, and made us feel right at home. If you are over 6ft tall, the antique queen bed may not be as comfortable for you than other options, but I would say this is a small compromise in light of all the other positive features.
We stayed there 3 nights. We couldn't sleep through because the tenant living above the apartment
was stomping around until 2.00 am each night. We already told the owner who appeared to be aware
of this problem. Also the noise of the fridge/freezer was very annoying. Not a nice experience!
Absolutely lovely. Spacious and everything I needed. Owner was the perfect mix of friendly while giving us our privacy. I wish I had found this property BEFORE my daughter graduated. I would have never stayed anywhere else. It was an easy walk to Harvard in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. Easily 5 stars!
The suite was really beautiful and convenient for our needs. Great restaurants nearby. Everything was as described. I definitely would recommend this to a friend
We found this location to be ideal for our purposes. A very gentle 20 minute walk to Harvard if that is a destination. Many wonderful restaurants within less than 10 minutes for those not inclined to cook. Two great grocery stores within an easy walk with everything you need for those who plan to eat in. Three coffee shops within easy strolls. We took the "T" from Logan and found ourselves with about a 12 minute walk to this address when we arrived in Cambridge through a very comfortable neighborhood.
The bathroom gleams as advertised and the bed provided for a wonderful evenings sleep. We were there eight nights and didn't feel the need for anything we didn't find right there.
I would have liked to see the living room just a bit updated, perhaps with more comfortable chairs but I am fussy about that since I work on-line in the evenings.
There is no question we would happily return to this location if the opportunity presents itself. I'd recommend it highly for seniors (we are them) who are interested in experiencing the cultural aspects of Cambridge, however, this location is not handicapped friendly in anyway.
Convenient to the MIT campus as well. Off-street parking a big plus. And the new Cambridge public library is close by. Kitchen is very functional, although the knives weren't too sharp. Owner is accessible and friendly.
Very nicely appointed and comfortable...very convenient to the Harvard campus area. The manager was pleasant and very helpful.
