Casa Verde, luxurious LA home, great neighborhood
Stay in this fully modernized, recently remodeled home on a quiet tree-lined street in one of the best neighbrhoods in Los Angeles (which happens to be 12 minutes to Hollywood/Highland or Downtown, 5 minutes to downtown Burbank, and walkable to excellent restaurants and a friendly corner store).
This is a classic 1930’s LA bungalow that has been fully modernized, with copper plumbing, new central heating/cooling, contemporary electrical system. We even just repainted the house and repaved the walkway and driveway. The place is at its best and ready for you.
If you’ve never stayed in a vacation rental before, it’s less like a motel and more like having your own home. Not your own noisy little room on a busy street with slow wifi and neighbors coming and going, but your own fully-detached home, made up and ready for you just like a hotel, but with a fully stocked modern remodeled kitchen, finest Egyptian cotton linens and hypo-allergenic feather-free bedding.

Plenty of closet and drawer space and an office with computer (as well as wifi). Kitchen features recessed lighting with dishwasher, gas stove, microwave and washer/dryer, water and ice. Central air conditioning/heating, cable TV with DVD player. Citrus trees on property provide fresh lemons and grapefruit, when in season, in spacious, fully enclosed and lockable private back yard.
If you're arriving into Bob Hope International Airport (BUR) it's a 10 minute, $20 cab ride away (yet rest assured that the flight path is in the complete opposite direction).
Work in entertainment? 10 minutes, no freeway to Disney, WB, NBC, CBS, ABC, Universal, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network
Touring? Adjacent to the Equestrian Center, Los Angeles Zoo, Gene Autry Museum; 5 minute drive/1 mile to Media District restaurants and theatres, and the Griffith Observatory is right there atop Griffith Park, which you see from the south side of the property. To the north are the Verdugo Mountains.
If you don’t like to drive, LA can certainly be a challenge, but here there is a corner store and several restaurants you can walk to. A taxi can get you to Hollywood and Highland in 15 minutes (just avoid rush hour), where you can explore the heart of Hollywood. The beach (30 miles west) and Disneyland (directly south on Interstate 5) are further out, but reachable.
All in all, it’s a remarkably pleasant and quiet location from which to delve into the heart of Southern California, and enjoy what it has to offer from the comfort of a place to call home, even for a little while.
