Oyster Bay Waterfront Home Located on Puget Sound!
A short one hour scenic ferry ride from downtown Seattle makes this waterfront home the ideal convenient getaway. Drive just 10 minutes from the ferry dock to Oyster Bay down a long secluded driveway. 4 bedrooms with queen beds, 3 baths and a slee …
On behalf of my entire family I would like to thank you for the great accommodations that your Oyster Bay property provided us on our recent stay. From the first view of the bay from the deck to the last dip in the hot tub one frosty night, we all agree that the cottage provided a comfortable and restful weekend getaway. The cottage was very nicely furnished and supplied. There was really nothing that we lacked throughout the weekend.
Best wishes for a Happy Holidays.
My husband and I and our group of friends have stayed at many houses together over the years, some very luxurious "executive" homes with many amenities. Would have to say Bremerton wasn't our first pick for a destination.
Boy did this house exceed our expectations. We just loved it from the moment we walked in.
First: They had cables ready to attach our laptop and gaming systems to. Everything was a breeze and worked great. AWESOME SOUND!!! BIG SCREENS!!! GAMERS' PARADISE!!!
MOST nice homes have one bedroom that is the definition of romance and luxury. The other bedrooms are either full of kid furniture or simply so much smaller that everyone but the lucky couple in the master ends up feeling cheated. You don't know whether to draw straws or have one couple pay more (as they should) for inhabiting the King's Quarters, while everyone else grumbles and elbows each other off the sides of the too small beds.
The Oyster Bay home was refreshing in that all four rooms were very similar. There was one that was slightly nicer, and one that was very dark as it had no windows (although as one who had the dark room, it didn't bother me at all to be able to sleep at any time in this cozy retreat), but overall there shouldn't be anyone who feels really underprivileged. Plenty of bathrooms. Two couples downstairs had no conflicts with the upstairs two. Large, comfy couches. Lots of towels.
Having TWO KITCHENS? AWESOME. I loved making coffee downstairs and not having to wander upstairs until I was ready. Everyone loved the fireplace - large and easy to use. Lots of places to settle for conversation and also if you want to get a little privacy.
The hot tub was the BEST we've found. A nice self-sustaining system, smelled fresh, clean, and effervescent, even after we used it three days in a row. Steps up to it, PLUS thoughtfully placed tables for your drink and hooks for your towel. NICE!
This place was a wonderful mix of luxury and down home comfort. Not all the appliances are super new, and the cabinets are older. I saw this as a plus. It was attractive without being pretentious.
The view was lovely - lots of neat animal sightings. Feels private and secluded.
Noise not a problem. We were able to play music and enjoy ourselves and I even went outside to see if our sound was carrying, and you couldn't really hear much of anything.
Almost anything you would need is there.
Loved it. Will return!!!
Thank you James and Rosa!
The house was beautiful. The process of reservation was easy and straight forward. James was flexible and accommodated our early arrival. Overall the experience was excellent.
This is an absolutely SUPER place....extremely well stocked....everything which we needed was there in abundance....quiet!!!....and the setting is just MARVELOUS. House sits on edge of water and has the most wonderful views you can possibly imagine. Several ladies went down to play cards supposedly the entire time....but we couldn't pull ourselves away from sitting out on the very large deck....so we played cards out there....then just sat out there and talked. The house lights of all the houses on the bay are just awesome at night.....just can't rave enough!!! The owner of the house is delightful to work with and so very accommodating. We are planning on making this our annual event because of all the places we have gone over the years....this is just the BEST ever!....plus you are so close to Silverdale that we ate there and shopped...but even cut that short to get back and sit on the deck!
Our family reunion was great and it was made even better with this outstanding house. We would love to come back again. I used to live in the area and I had never seen otters before like we did on the nearby dock.
Excellent accommodations! It had everything we needed and it was truly enjoyable. Awesome views! Close to all necessities (stores, gas, public transportation, hospital, etc.).
The only thing I recommend is providing either a much larger garbage bin or multiple garbage bins.
Very clean and well equipped property. Quiet and beautiful view of the small bay. Grocery stores very close by. We sat in the hot tub and watched a small harbor seal who came by once a day to lie on the small raft in front of the house. Any questions or whatever James is very quick to get back to you. Overall a great week by the bay. Steve & Ellen Colchester, Vermont.
We were a party of 7 attending a wedding. The home was warm and very clean, There is a grocery store within walking distance. The listing was accurate as well as the photos. We will return as the property is very well located between Seattle, Tacoma and Port Townsend.
The setting is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed coffee overlooking the bay and dinner on the deck at night. The house is not emacualte but was very comfortable and adequately spaced. It would have benefited from some linen and kitchen upgrades, but we would certainly stay here again.
We found it ealy to get everywhere we wanted to go from this location.
I would definately recommend this home to my friends and family. We spent a week there with family flying in from Florida, Colorado and California. The ferry to Seattle was only a short 10 minutes away. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to feed 7. The house was very clean and I was happy to have 3 bathrooms. Two of the four bedrooms on the main floor was beneficial as we had not only a two year old but also an eighty year old and the stairs to the walk-out basement would have been a problem. I would stay at this home again.
The owner made this a positive first experience for us on a VBRO. The house is laid out very well such that those sleeping in the downstairs bedrooms have a bathroom with walk in shower handy plus a living room, kitchen and laundry room with hot tub right outside the sliding glass doors looking out over Oyster Bay. Those sleeping on the main level have 2 bathrooms; 1 with walk in shower, 1 with bath tub. Plus 2 nice bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, den with office in corner where we hooked up our laptop for the week, and a balcony extending across the entire front facing the Bay. The gas grill we used extensively is on the large balcony. The grand kids viewed star fish right at waters edge and found a sand dollar and shells. Bremerton is not far away and we found so much to do in the Kitsap area, we stayed there all week quite busy. We highly recommend Venture Charters which picked us up near the Bremerton Ferry landing for a day of fishing; they also do tours if you do not want to fish. If you are considering a VBRO in the area, I highly recommend this owner as one to work with and the house is a vacation home to remember.
My group of friends stayed here 3 nights for March Madness basketball watching and as a general getaway from everyday life w/ kids, job, etc. The home worked perfectly for our purposes - good sitting area and layout, enough sleeping spaces, great view of the bay right from the deck, a grill and a hot tub. Also easy walking distance to multiple spots incl. grocery store and small bar/grill.
Interesting house. We had a great time with 8 ladies. One bedroom has no windows, one bathroom has not been remodeled, but we weren't there for an extreme luxury retreat. Nice stereo system and TV. Kitchen good, nice to have the downstairs kitchen for more refrigerator room. Square table for dining was perfect for playing cards and not having to throw things down the other side, you could reach everything! Very nice views and the owner is very responsive.
This home was an ideal place for our family reunion. Very comfortable. All of the amenities. Loved the location. It was quiet and private. It was so nice to have the kitchen and not have to eat out all the time. We will definietly keep this property on our radar and will gladly return.
This was a great place to stay! Close to the ferry terminal and the grocery store but it felt far away. We spotted bald eagles and other birds of prey. A fun weekend with a well stocked kitchen.
James is an excellent communicator and he gets things done fast.
What a wonderful place to get away! Great 180 degree view of the bay and mountains. We really enjoyed the hot tub and building cozy fires in the fireplaces. It only took us an hour on the ferry from Seattle, other getaways we have had involved hours of driving, this was so much better. The house is located down a seclude drive but we walked to the QFC, Starbucks, and Redbox. The Oyter Bay restaurant and the Pancake House are within walking distance but we enjoyed cooking much better in the wondeful well appointed kitchen. I would highly recomend this vacation home to all my friends and family!
I've stayed here several times, and each time is better then the last. It's a well stocked home with everything I need to entertain. Perfect for entertaining both large and small groups, and the grocery store is two shakes of a lambs tail away!
We had a wonderful time. This was a great place to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary and to have a family reunion. This home was well stocked in the kitchen and also the linens. We have rented other VRBO homes and this was the best supplied home. The view and the weather were excellent. The hot tub in the evening was wonderful. Thank you so much.
We spent 4 days at this exquisitely furnished home! If you like gorgeous sunsets, relaxing at water's edge, kayaking, golfing, music and eating - then this is the place for you! The owners are very easy to work with and timely with information. We look forward to our next stay!!!
The owner of this property is extremely easy to work with and gets back to you immediately about
reservations and questions about this property.
At this beautiful, one-of-a-kind home, you will have a large living area, two spacious bedrooms and
baths upstairs, and almost as much space downstairs where the WD are located.
But the view is superb! You are close to everything in Bremerton including a busy highway, but
at the home, it is so peaceful and quiet. The 360-view is one of the best on the Bay. Living on a houseboat on the Columbia River, I am used to beautiful water views, but this home greatly exceeds my water view.
Not only do you have everything here you need for a great vacation (large TVs, Wi-fi, hot tub,
working fireplace with wood onsite), but it is one of the most unique vacation rentals I have ever
stayed at. I will be back - again and again, I hope. So don't stay too long!
