Five master suites! With fabulous views of the snow-capped mountains and spacious rooms, this duplex has a feel of a private home. Included are private bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom! There are log accents in the entryway, quality …
We very much enjoyed our time at this home. It was a great as advertised! We had family members ages 10-50 with us, and everyone had a great time during their stay. The kids enjoyed the pool table and video games, and the adults liked the fact that the kids had their own space downstairs so we could enjoy visiting and playing cards upstairs. We spent our time snowboarding and skiing at Breckenridge and Copper Mountain which were beautiful. We also had fun at the Frisco tubing park.
The only difficulty we had at the house was getting the radiant heat to heat evenly. It was very warm in the upstairs bedrooms (we used the fans that were at the house), but downstairs was perfect.
Also, if you are traveling to the Breckenridge area from out of state, be aware of the possibility of altitude sickness. It is situated very high (above 9000 ft), and can cause anyone to become ill. Make sure you give your body some time to adjust. My 10 year old became very sick with this (had to go to the ER) and was on an oxygen tank for a couple days until he adjusted on the 3rd day. The doctors told us it can effect anyone, anytime ( even if you have been 10 times and not had a problem before)....they said 8,000 feet seems to be a tipping point for people. On a positive note, the hospital staff was wonderful and we were very happy with the quality of the facility and the care we received.
Amazing view, Beautiful drive-up, Very warm and cozy (we had to open windows just to balance the temperature), Very inviting kitchen, Each bedroom was perfectly-sized; Both indoor and outdoor jacuzzis were working well! Heated 2-car garage, and plenty of extra outside parking. The pictures don't do this place justice!
We'd love to make this an annual trip!
Very spacious and accomodating for a large group. The mountain views are spectacular and the location great. We enjoyed being perched high on the mountain and could see the beautiful snow covered mountains while enjoying a cup of coffee or sitting in the hot tub. Very clean, bathrooms offered modern updates and the home decor was very fitting for a mountain lodge. We will certainly stay again!
We celebrated our 50th anniversary at this beautiful home with our 3 boys, their wives, and our 6 grandchildren. The house was perfect for this number of people. Loved the fact that there was a downstairs so kids could be playing rock band downstairs (that is until the adults took over the game!) Rock Band was the hit of the trip for the kids! When we were there there had been a water leak and the wood floor had buckled so we were unable to use the powder room as the door was jammed open. Hopefully that issue has been fixed. The house is showing some age and looks like it needs a little TLC (carpet on stairs was loose and slippery) but was the home was beautifully decorated, well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We definitely would book this house again.
Our stay at View Manor was absolutely fantastic. Our family gathering consisted of 12 people ranging in age from 85 years old to 16 to 6. This home is nothing short of the complete package for a wide-range of ages and interest. For the children, plenty of kid-friendly space for them to make their own- be it ample televisions, sleeping options, bathrooms with tubs and showers. For our teenager, having an on-suite bathroom was key and the pool table and Wii Rock Band were highlights. For the adults, from age 40-85, lots of private and communal space to lounge, read, cook together, play cards/board games (provided by the owner) and enjoy the hot tub. Our favorite spot was the magnificent deck- with hot tub- and stunning views from Baldy Mountain. The shuttle to Breck is nearby, hiking paths just down the street, a serene neighborhood and exceptionally clean house. The owner was more than responsive and made everything about our arrival/departure easy and stress-free.
Additional perks: washer and dryer in the house, garage parking, large grill, fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes/pots and pans for the chefs in your family, natural light, ceiling fans, great air flow/fung shui and some bedroom options on both floors.
We highly recommend View Manor and can't wait to return for a future family gathering!
This home is a fabulous vacation retreat. We've stayed here before and hope to do the same next year. It's very well appointed, wonderful kitchen, great family space. Each bedroom has its own bath. Beautiful views out the windows. I'd give it 6 stars if possible!
The pictures don't do it justice. This place is amazing! It's far enough away from Breckenridge to feel secluded, but still only a short bus ride away from town. It is roomy, has tall ceilings, is well furnished, and contains all the amenities to make a vacation in the mountains an incredibly good time. Cooking was easy, even though we had 11 adults. Parking was ample (we rented 3 full size SUVs), and the place was just so big. We did not feel cramped at all. The garage made coming in from the slopes very easy. The property owner/manager was very helpful. Unless our next snow trip takes us to somewhere other than Breckenridge, we will be staying here again!
We had such a wonderful time at this spectacular home! It feels like it's away from it all, but you can be in downtown Breckenridge in 6-7 minutes! (The shuttle stop is also right outside the door~we didn't use it, but we commented how convenient it would be in the winter!) We enjoyed the hummingbirds, the fox that visited, and the AMAZING mountain views!!! Relaxing in the hot tub looking at the beautiful views was something we'll always remember. Also, the beds were SO comfortable~and the home has everything you could possibly need! You will be so pleased with your choice to stay here!
Family Friendly Mountain Oasis This big, comfortable, 2 story house sits on a large lot at the top of Mesa Cortina right across from National Forest land. It's perfect for families or large groups and there's plenty of room inside and out. There's an outdoor fire pit that's per...
Casa de Alta If location is at the top of your checklist, Casa De Alta certainly ticks that box. Multiple families, or large groups, love this distinctive Breckenridge vacation home for its proximity to both downtown Breckenridge's restaurants and shopping and Breckenridge Ski Resort's epic skiing.
Advanced skiers will get a kick out of accessing the ski resort via the Burro Trail (located a few blocks from home) - a skiable access trail that intersects Peak 9 - and ski back to the area from Peak 10 (all black trails), a thrilling way to end the ski day. The trail is also great for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and, when the snow melts, hiking.
This light, bright home is specifically designed for large family groups, allowing them to gather in great common areas and also retreat to private areas when they need a little space. The home boasts two master bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. The main master includes a king-sized bed and a large bathroom. All told, the house sleeps 18.
Casa de Alta's two kitchens are great for entertaining, and a game of pool is always in order for the competitive set. Or if relaxing is your thing, be content to relax in your own private indoor hot tub (no need to dash back in from the cold outdoor air).
When it’s time to return to civilization, just drive 1.5 miles to Breckenridge's Main Street or walk 0.5 miles to the free shuttle stop.
And a River Runs Through it... This idyllic mountain cabin gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'A river runs through it.' Constructed from native logs in 1938, this three bedroom two bathroom cabin is built directly over a clear mountain stream.
