$1,100/month Gracious furnished room with private bath and access to kitchen - Jamaica Pond Views

Description: Room is furnished with fireplace and view of the Jamaica Pond. Separate bath/jacuzzi and access to kitchen. Belongs to a grand historical Victorian located on Boston's Emerald necklace (corner of Pond Street and Jamaica way across from the Jamaica Pond boathouse). The house was originally built in 1862 by a Civil war colonel Dewey and completely updated and remodeled by Mr. DuMond keeping the architectural features of the original house. What we love about the home is its esthetic feeling i.e., the conservatory, panoramic view of Jamaica Pond, tasteful gardens, convenient location, access to public transportation and proximity to 5,000 acres of public parks.

Heat, electricity, AC, cable TV and wireless are included. Short or longer term lease. There is ample parking. No Smoking.

Be sure to check out Toscanini's Ice Cream ("Best Ice Cream in the World!" - New York Times), Flour Bakery for their famous morning cinnamon buns, and Flattop Johnny's for your inner pool hustler (and just to check out the locals). Lord Hobo, a great bar with awesome food (and "Best Neighborhood Spot", according to the Dig This Awards), is just a 3 minute walk from our front door.
We are just 7 minutes from Harvard Square by T. The Red Line is only a 10-minute walk away in Kendall Square, where there are also multiple fine dining options for a nice night out on the town. There are multiple Hubway bicycle rental spots within several blocks of the apartment, in case you want to ride around the city and enjoy the weather - and the beautiful sights!
