St. John's has six short-term rentals and 17 long term rentals. It's on East Pike Street across from a large supermarket, within easy walking distance to Seattle's downtown plus the hospitals and Seattle University. A great location!
Apartment 319 is a large room and has in it a very nice kitchen area including a fridge, gas range and convection micro-wave oven. The bed is a queen, very comfortable and bought new in August of 2012. There is a small table with two chairs and a high-backed love seat. The TV is a 40" Samsung flatscreen, 1080p and 120 hz, so it's great to watch movies and play games. We have a DVD player and digital cable including HBO. There is also a cd player with ipod dock. Wireless internet wi-fi is included and the apartment is air-conditioned.
We have a full time manager living in the building who will check you in and be of any assistance you might need. His name is Johnny-he's been with us for 7 years already and plans to retire with us, as he loves the job. He's a restaurant critic in his spare time, and will definitely give advice on where to go in the neighborhood. We've also put in each apartment a book with neighborhood restaurant menus, so you can make some decisions yourself!
To make a reservation with us you will need to go to our website, which is linked below. On our site there is a link to a secure site where you can check availability and reserve on-line. We require a deposit of $150 with the balance paid on arrival. We take Visa, Master/Card and Discover. In addition to the nightly rate parking adds $12.00 per day. Many of our guests bring cars and never use them once at St. John's. It's easier to walk about than to drive and then find a place to park. There are taxis on our street all day and night, and the bus stops one block from us.
Transportation from Sea-Tac Airport is fairly easy. There is a light rail line from the airport to downtown, and from there a taxi to us is very inexpensive. There is also a fixed taxi rate from the airport, with tip the total cost will be about $50. The city is building a link to the light rail and in the future you'll be able to come within a few blocks of us, but that will be two years from now!
Check-in time is after 2 p.m. and check-out is by 11 a.m.
We do have a strict three night minimum and discount for longer stays. In the winter we encourage people who need a place to stay for a month or longer. In the summer there is so much demand for a place like ours that we don't do monthly stays.
We just finished remodeling this apartment. It's been a regular long term rental up until May of this year. The last tenant lived in it for six years. We think that's proof it must be a good apartment for someone to stay there that long. And it is. It's a very comfortable space and such a convenient location that it's very hard to beat.
We've owned the building since 2005 and have completely remodeled it. All our tenants are great people-mostly 20 and 30 something working professionals, and a few students. Everybody is quiet and over the years we've become good friends. The back deck with barbecue and picnic table becomes a place to cook and eat diner, and our short-term guests are invited to use this area as well.
