We were attending a family reunion in Queens and were looking for somewhere homely and affordable to use as a base to explore New York. This apartment was it in spades! It was clean, fresh, comfortable and relaxing. It was also convenient for both the subway system (about 1.5 blocks away) and the LIRR station (about 2 blocks away). Thomas's welcome was outstanding! He made us feel like he was welcoming family from abroad! :) Everything about the apartment was perfect. The kitchen was already stocked with fresh food, drinks and importantly frozen water! I presume the apartment is above the subway as you do hear rumbles from time to time but they were never at a level to concern a city dweller. There are several stores minutes away including a Food Town supermarket and fast food outlets. We particularly enjoyed various West Indian meal deals. The only fly in the ointment for us was that the wifi which I understand to be provided by a national carrier worked very intermittently. The signal strength simply wasn't good enough for long enough which was VERY frustrating. Having said that, overall we had a FANTASTIC time and as others have already said you will not regret renting this apartment.
L'appartamento si è rivelato eccezionale come la gentilezza e la disponibilità del proprietario e di tutta la sua famiglia. Ci siamo sentiti veramente a casa. L'ubicazione è eccezionale per visitare NY si trova vicinissimo alla Metropolitana ed anche comoda da raggiungere proveniendo dall'aeroporto JFK Siamo anche molto felici di essere finiti in una delle foto descrittive del sito.
So my family is from Brooklyn and I traveled back from Texas for my grandfather's birthday. I stated with my parents and my two daughters, 1 and 3 years old. It was great. My girls loved the big windows in the dining and family room area because they could see everything on the street. They liked the roof deck as well. I was glad there was an Applebee's across the street, because we didn't arrive until late at night, so it was perfect to just use the internet (provided) and place an order and walk across. The town home was comfortable and I was surprised that the refrigerator had food in it. That really saved on my grocery bill. I'm picky about what I eat and feed my kids, and there was organic, cage free eggs in the refrigerator, regular and turkey bacon, and beer (which I needed after the long travel from Texas with a one year old-sorry I had to say it) The was happy that the Foodtown about 5 minutes walk away had organic and soy products (for my milk allergic daughter) It saved me a 20 minute walk to this other spot recommended by my brother. I will most definitely stay here again because it's convenient, instead of crashing at my aunt's house (sorry auntie).

Spacious, well kept two-story apartment. We had 5 adults, 2 teens, one child and one baby and it was perfect for our large group for three nights. More comfortable and roomy than a hotel. Everything was provided - towels, soap, shampoo etc. Computer, printer, internet access. He even had food and drinks stocked in the kitchen. We saved a lot of money by preparing two meals a day at the apartment. The owner was very gracious and accomodating - even helped to carry our bags upstairs. He also provides gated, locked, off-street parking, which is ideal if you dont need to use the car once you're there. Payment process was easy as well. The one downside is that the location isnt the greatest neighborhood in brooklyn. Otherwise we were very pleased.

Friends and I recently rented this wonderful apartment while in town for a friend's wedding. The apartment is exactly what we were hoping for and more. It was clean and fresh, comfortable and relaxing, and convenient to the subway system. An added bonus since the wedding was in Long Island, is that the LIRR is 2 blocks away. Thomas met us for check-in and only after we were satisfied with the state of the apartment, took our payment. We did a walk-through and everything was in perfect condition and upon inspection of the kitchen found that it was more than adequately stocked with fresh food for our use including frozen water to take into the City during the heatwave that permeated most of our stay. Even with as hot it was (heat index over 105) the apartment stayed cool with the AC units in most all of the rooms. The apartment is also very well insulated, you don't hear much street noise; there was even a a construction worker using a jackhammer one morning, but we could barely make it out between the insulation and the AC unit. There's a new coffee shop called Blu York beneath the apartments and the staff were very friendly and the coffee even tastier than Starbucks. The subway is 1.5 blocks away and there are several stores to browse along the way including fruit markets and grocery stores (we preferred Food Town one block East). One evening we made steak and baked potatoes and had a lovely night in. The rooftop deck is perfect for relaxing and taking in the City lights. Another night we had pizza delivered from Nice Pizza (pronounced Neece) and it was heavenly, I recommend Le Quatra Fromages (Four Cheese) pizza. I've stayed in less than favorable conditions in NYC (see previous reviews) and I can with 100% certainty say you will not regret renting this apartment. I can't wait to plan our next visit!

I thought the previous reviews were written by Tom himself because they were so good! But in reality, Tom really is AWESOME; the apartment is exactly like it appears in the pictures. Subway is two blocks away; Grocery store is two blocks away and plenty of fresh markets to get fruit & veggies. Tom could not have been more accommodating. Will definetly book this property when we go back to NY. Thanks, Tom, for making our NYC Family Reunion a fantastic one!
We had a great time in New York. The apartment was wonderful and the hospitality of the owner was perfect. The location of the apartment was really good, only 15 minutes by subway to the city centre. The apartment was clean and all facilities were in good condition. In conclusion, we can definitely recommend this apartment!
Although we couldn't finally go to NY. Thomas has been always helping us and making things easier. Somebody you can trust in. Hopefully we could go next time. Thanks a lot!!!!
Thomas is the owner that everyone likes to have. A generous person. The duplex is new, clean enough, well furnished. When we arrived there was a full of food refrigerator, PC with free wi-fi, great TV with dolby surround and playstation 3. Rooms are homely, large dining room where have dinner or lunch, clean bathrooms with shampoo and bath foam. The location is great, 150 metres from subways A - C lines, so you can go to Manhattan in 20 minutes. Perfect for families.
My Family and I (party of 5) Stayed at this property for a short stay. We were looking for an area that was Safe, nice, affordable and located where there was plenty of public transportation. At this property we found all of that and more. For starters when we first arrived Thomas was there to show us around the property and to familiarized us with the neighborhood. Though there was not a need to leave right away because the owner of this property stocks the kitchen with food and beverages so that you are set for the week, so we decided to cook something there and take a needed nap. There is an Applebee's directly across the street from the home. The train is less than a minute walk from the property. There is a Macys thats about a 10min subway ride and a 10min drive also. It took us about an half an hour to get into Manhattan that is including walking and waiting on the subway. My only disappointment while I was there was that I had to pack to come home. I would always book at this property from this moment fourth. I had a great time in Brooklyn and I still wish I was there. Thanks again to the Mulzac family.
Our family of six adults had a great NYC vacation and the best part was being able to come to a "home" setting after our daily excursions. We could all sit together in the living room or the kitchen instead of everyone going to their separate rooms at a hotel. It was great - Tom was so hospitable and accomodating. Hopefully we can do it again.
