Brownstone One Bedroom Apartment in Prospect Heights Sat-Sat

    Atlantic Terminal Houses

    Description

Our recently renovated one bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor (one short flight up) of a renovated Brooklyn Brownstone on a tree-lined block, steps away from the 2/3 train at Bergen and 2 blocks away from the B/Q at 7th Ave, at St. Mark …

I stayed in the smaller of the two apartments for one week, and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The apartment is clean, roomy, well furnished, comfortable and quiet, with a nice view and good light from the two floor to ceiling windows. Large bathroom, with a great shower and tub. Huge walk-in closet, and a small fridge which keeps contents very cold and is quiet. Very convenient location, too. I plan to stay there again on my next NYC visit.
We stayed here in December/Jan of 2008 and would most definately stay here again. The room was spacious and clean and the extra personal touches (information of subway and shopping in Manhattan) were helpful. I recommended this place to my parents and their friends and all have had a really good but affordable stay. It was fantastic to get our walking shoes on and walk for a short way into Manhatten then to return to a warm, clean room with plenty of hot water.
My lady friend and I stood there back in late September of 2010. I am a native middle aged Brooklynite relocated to Cali about 7 years ago. Sandy has been in Cali since she's 2.She has made several trips to NY before but always stayed in Manhattan and never with a Brooklynite. I had found Nicole on Craigslist and the rest was easy. The building is an 1840's Brownstone in the heart of Brooklyn. It is most conveniently located close to public transportation and the local nite life...give it a try if you are tired of staying in a hotel and want to try something different!!!
I was extremely pleased with the bright, cheery room (without kitchen). It was very clean and tidy, with a huge closet and a very large bathroom for New York. Niceties like a small refrigerator, shelves, extra blankets and a space heater were already in the room, so I really didn't need to bother the owners much. But whenever I had a question or concern, they were quick to accommodate. It was a great place to get work done, and was a convenient stopping place between going out. There is a full service, upscale bodega and a wonderful crepe take-out place (great for breakfasts) across the street. There are many great restaurants near-by as Brooklyn's 5th ave (a substantial dinning destination) is just two blocks away. Less than 2 blocks to the subway. Not for the those with limited ambulation: it is a walk up. The Saturday-Saturday rental makes it a better choice for business travel, rather than for pleasure travel focused around the weekends. I applaud this decision; it keeps things quiet for us grown-ups. In short, this is a wonderful room in a beautiful brownstone with lovely, easy to access owners. It is a great place to stay.
We decided to stay in Brooklyn on our latest trip to NYC as the prices are significantly less than staying in Manhattan, but it is still very close to downtown and has a great atmosphere. This property is right by a subway stop and close to lots of amenities such as shops, restaurants, banks, etc. The house is a stunning old brownstone that has been renovated to make the most of its original features and the apartment we stayed in was the perfect size, having everything we needed for a week in the city. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough and our experience was made all the better by the fantastic hosts providing allsorts of information on the local area and sightseeing within the city. This worked out to be cheaper and much nicer than staying in a hostel, as we had our own, clean and tidy, apartment with kitchen facilities, that was nice and quiet and where we could come and go as we pleased. I have since recommended this property to anyone I know visiting NYC as it is such good value and we really felt like New Yorkers for the week.
We stayed twice at the house, once in the one bedroom apartment and once in the studio. We enjoyed both stays. The place is well kept and clean, the owners attentive and helpful. The location is close to the subway and a lot of good restaurants. the mall is also close by. We will certainly rent it again for our next visit of our kids.
Excellent value for money. Unpretensive, comfortable and quiet. Near subway.
