Dutch / Japanese Connection Styled Condo In Amsterdam Centre
This centrally located 475 sq ft (44 m²) apartment with hard wooden floor and nice carpentry, situated on ground floor in quiet area nearby Central Station (only 2 busstops away), is really amazing by it's art decorating and surprising design.
Thanks to Peter's kindness and great flat, we (wo&man) had an amazing week-end in Amsterdam : Peter welcomed us at the train station, we had a drink and a chat, he brought us to the apartment where everything was great, clean and nice. He had bought us beers in the fridge and really is super friendly and warm : it makes you feel so comfortable, and bit like the remote controls of the bed allowing you to move up head & feet.
Great bathroom, great kitchen in which we prepared amazing brunchs, calm living room, light, modular space thanks to the japanese sliding doors. But, on top of this, the location of the apartment is great : less than 10 minutes walk to Amsterdam Centraal, but also just a few blocks away, wonders of the Jordaan quarter and the 9 Streets area, as well as a tram station allowing you to go further in a short time.
Peter was even so kind to give us transportation cards to help us even more.
Well, altogether, I believe we had a wonderful week-end in Amsterdam not only because it did not rain too much and we got into nice cafés, restaurants or museums, but also thanks to Peter's guidance and apartment!
Peter, merci, Alain Prost et à bientôt. Kind regards from Paris
The property is in a great location, looks amazing, and has everything you could want, I really felt at home away from home. I couldn't recommend this property more.
The owner Peter went above and beyond what you would expect from most hosts, he gave us a good explanation of the property and any appliances had some good remonstrations on where to eat, left us some tourist information maps and what not and even supplied us with some pre loaded tram cards on top of that he had stocked the apartment with some basic essential food and a couple of bottles of champagne. What more could you ask for.
I can guarantee any one who chooses this property will love it.
We will be using this apartment every chance we get when we travel to Amsterdam from now on.
Amazing, beautiful apartament. Perfect For a couple, spectacularly clean and within walking distance To several of Amsterdam s top attractions and promemades. And peter, the host , is so kind he even drove us To the airport! We Will be back
I had the pleasure to come across this fantastic property for my vacation. It is a 10 minute walk from Central station and near many amazing shops, restaurants, grocery stores etc. The apartment was beautiful and extremely cozy! I felt right at home. The 2 beds had a remote controlled device to raise your feet or head which made for a very comfortable slumber. There were towels, robes, and slippers provided. Along with full kitchen use which came in very handy to cook some meals. The bathroom has a heated towel rack and is designed beautifully. All brand new appliances! The location couldn't have been better, it was so close to all the touristy things you would want to see as well as the trams and buses but just enough out of the way that you feel like a local. The street was very quiet which was wonderful for sleeping. Peter was an amazing host! Very informative and accommodating. I feel I not only had an amazing experience but also made a new friend in Holland :) I will be going back for sure next time! Highly recommend this place for your stay.
Awesome, perfect experience! Peter the owner was readily available for anything I would need. With a lot of attention to detail (he had even left a bottle of wine and other goods on my arrival), this apartment had all the comfort from my own apartment. Great books, beautiful sculptures and paintings.. it even had floor heating and all the amenities needed to live comfortable in a house. It did not feel at all like renting an apartment! Apartment and building felt very safe & secure, apartment was very clean and EXACTLY as pictured. It was the perfect "home base" for my Amsterdam stay, literally a 10 minute walk from the central station and in a lovely neighborhood. I was able to walk to the spots I wanted to hit in Amsterdam. For the price, this was an AWESOME deal. Highest possible recommendation!
muy buena ubicacion centrico pero tranquilo, no ruidos
equipado con todo lo que puedes necesitar para quedarte a vivir, muy acogedor , como en casa
The apartment was outstanding in terms of comfort, cleanness and conveniently located. I really enjoyed my stay and i have found my ideal place when ever im in town!! Above all, the owner is an amazing gentlemen who have helped me out with the my incident, love you Peter!
My sister and I spent 6 days in Amsterdam and our visit could not have been better. Peter was incredibly helpful and friendly right from the start, meeting us at Central Station for coffee and pie. We walked 10 minutes from the station to the apartment, which is situated right off of Haarlemmerstraat where lots of great shops, cafés, and several grocers can be found. Peter took the time to give us all info about the apartment and surrounding areas, as well as his fantastic collection of books on art and design that now line the main wall. The apartment was beautiful, tastefully decorated, contained all modern amenities, and was spotlessly clean. There were robes and house slippers waiting for us, along with coffee, beverages, spices and light food items, and everything necessary to cook and serve dinner for ourselves. The 2 twin beds were comfortable and cozy with the ability to raise and lower the head and legs, which was great after long days spent walking the city. The bathroom was also very nice and well equipped, and the towel warmer is a nice touch. The street outside at night was very quiet, with very little traffic even though located just off of a popular street. Just around the corner you can find several groceries, bakeries, and patisseries if you would like to cook for yourself, and we did not find the prices to be much greater compared to what my sister and I are used to in the US. Also around the corner and down the street are vintage/new clothing stores, art and flowers for sale, pubs, coffee shops, and of course the beautiful network of canals lined with houseboats, with greenery everywhere you look. The location is perfect, and only a 10 minute tram ride down to the museumplein, Waterlooplein market, Vondelpark, Iamsterdam sign, etc. Just take care not to ever block a bike lane! The highlight of the trip was when Peter met us for lunch, then very graciously took us on a walking tour of Amsterdam, showing us so many fantastic spots and offering insights that only a local person can articulate. We visited several amazing museums, snapped lots of photos (photo-ops literally everywhere you look!), visited the market, saw the famous Cotton Club, ate great food and had great conversation. We are so appreciative of Peter and his hospitality, he truly made us feel welcomed in Amsterdam and in his amazing flat, and we are happy to have made a new friend. We will definitely be back!
