I will start with the good news. The apartment was light, bright and airy. The property was very quiet, and location convenient to everything. The bad news. Every surface was dusty, dirty, grimy or greasy. Property manager stated that previous tenants did not leave in time for cleaning service to clean, and said she would come next day to clean. She did not do so, but offerred to refund cleaning deposit, which she has not. Fully equipped kitchen with no dishwasher soap or regular dish soap available. Had to buy my own. Two worn bath towels and two half used toilet paper rolls were all that was left in bathroom. No extra key as promised. Path to parking lot blocked by tree. Had walk thru mud to get to my car. I understand that move in and move out timing is not always the best, but that is not my problem. Hopefully the place will be clean and ready for next tenant.
This is a lovely apartment. It is very clean, well appointed and very conveniently located. There is a shopping center within two blocks and it is about 4 or 5 blocks to downtown Alameda which has numerous excellent (and inexpensive) restaurants. The bus stops nearly in front of the property and for $2.25 you can ride all the way to Berkeley or to a Bart station to go into SF. We've stayed here three different times and highly recommend it, and will be back next year.
I would very much recommend this apartment. It is remodeled bright, had everything I needed in it, very comfortable. Loved that it had parking. Although I wish it had a washer dryer, the Laundromat is close by. I am a traveling nurse and have stayed in many short term rentals. I wish they were all like this! Thanks again I will contact you if work brings me back to Oakland again.

"Thank you for a very nice place to stay these few past months. the apartment was great. Very comfortable and quiet. Being able to walk to Park street and the store was perfect"
"The apartment was perfect for my stay in Alameda. Great location for my job at the point. If they call me back I will definitely look you up!" (Stayed 6 months)
My husband and I stayed in this condo for 5 nights while visiting family in Alameda. We arrived late in the evening and there we no lights on. We fumbled aroung in the dark until we found the lock box. The furnishings are well appointed except there is no chest of drawers in the bedroom. We had to use our suit cases. There is a place for a washer/dryer but there isn't one. The bathroom was very nice but again, no place to put your toiletries. The condo was not clean. Everything was dusty and there was trash left in the kitchen from the sprevious tenant. I contacted the owner about all of the above by e-mail and received no response. Unfortunately we won't stay here on our next trip. There are several other better places to stay in Alameda.
