Salar de Uyuni: World's Largest MirrorSalar de Uyuni, located in southwest Bolivia is the largest salt flat in the world. It measures 4,086 sqare miles (10,582 sq km), which is 25 times the size of the Bonneville Salt Flats in the United States. During the rainy season (November to March), when it becomes covered in a thin layer of water, Salar de Uyuni becomes the world's largest mirror.
The vast flat expanse also allows for optical illusions via forced perspective. Large objects can appear small and vice versa.
