Great Night Trains

You can always travel during the day, but there is a certain romanticism to traveling at night. I may or may not include red-eye flights in that description, but traveling by train at night is always a special experience. Over at LonelyPlanet I found this list of the 8 best night trains in Europe. From vodka nightcaps to comfy beds to the completely underrated sensation of waking up in a different city than you fell asleep in, these trains can be a unique addition to any journey around Europe.

I have taken trains around Europe before, and love them for their convenience, but have never taken a night train. Have you? Share your experiences with night trains in the comments!

Anis: I’ve actually taken that train before. It went by quick. I had a fun time chatting into the wee hours with a friend.
