Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Alba first left her home at 17 to study in Vermont as an exchange student. She's since lived in Shanghai, Orlando and New York City. A film graduate and freelance photographer, Alba is also passionate about culture and language. In her spare time she likes horseback riding, rock climbing, snowboarding and anything that triggers her adrenaline. She deeply believes her generation has the tools, and hopefully also the drive, to change the world.
Amelia is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois. Having studied abroad in Italy and India, she is especially passionate about stepping out of her comfort zone to try new things. A lover of the outdoors, she also enjoys hiking, swimming and sailing. Amelia's next adventure will be traveling through Australia later this year.
Atanas grew up in the city of Burgas, Bulgaria on the coast of the Black Sea. Ever since he was a child, he has loved being close to water. He studied tourism at the Asen Zlatarov University of Burgas and has always wanted to travel to different countries to experience foreign cultures and cuisines first-hand. A freelance photographer, Atanas lives to photograph colorful scenes and emotions that capture the imagination.
Erlina grew up in Singapore and moved halfway across the world to San Francisco at age 19, where she's been living as an expat for the past four years. An avid traveler, she has jet skied in Bali, swum with dolphins in Australia and gotten lost in the wonders of Paris. Erlina believes the world has so much to offer and she's always looking for ways that she can give back.
Born in a small town in New South Wales and residing in Perth in Western Australia, Jason's heart is in New York City. He enjoys socializing, music, graphic design, travel, every single one of his Apple products and the occasional bad 90s TV show. Jason is also passionate about achieving equality for all. A lover of music, he can an be found jigging to whatever song is playing in his head at any given time during the day.
Kari developed a passion for travel while studying in Prague through Northeastern University. Immediately after arriving home, she plotted her return to the coffeehouses of Central Europe. Just months after graduating, she succeeded and is currently living as an expat in Poland. Where she goes and for how long matters little, as long as the characters are interesting and the conversation flows as plentifully as the coffee.
An MBA student and marketeer based in Boston, Ryan is a creative thinker who enjoys making people laugh at any given opportunity. He loves turbocharged cars, retro video games, early-stage startups and opportunities to step outside of his comfort zone. Although he isn't a world traveler yet, he looks forward to meeting and hosting more Trippers who will help him to change that.
Sarah grew up in suburban Surrey outside of London. By age 16 she was hooked on exploring and set out to find adventures throughout Europe. She studied graphic design and communication in the beautiful beach town of Brighton, Sussex. Not satisfied with short school holidays, Sarah packed up and left the UK for a four and a half year adventure around the world, learning about others' passions and cultures - all the while searching for the perfect fridge magnet for her mum's collection!
Tzu-I Wu was born in Quito, Ecuador but she grew up in Kaohsiung, the second biggest city in Taiwan. She came to America as an exchange student at age 17, then attended college in Kentucky for 3 years. Crystal then went to Belgium as a university exchange student and traveled to 10 European countries by herself - one of the most unforgettable experiences in her life. She loves travel and is always excited to make new friends and explore new places, new foods and new cultures.
