Having grown up near Silicon Valley, working in technology always seemed like a given for Jen. She was one of the first employees at StubHub and then held senior management positions at venture-backed companies in Europe and Central America before founding Tripping. Jen graduated Cum Laude from UC Berkeley and - when not working crazy hours - can be found cooking with friends, reading good books and backpacking to new places.

Jen O'Neal - Founder & CEO
Jeffrey Manheimer - Founder & COO
Jeff has deep experience in travel, having started his career as a tuxedo-wearing room service employee at the Hyatt in Cambridge. He advanced to Hyatt Corporate in Chicago and then ran electronic distribution for Expedia and then managed Sales at Travelzoo. Jeff graduated from Boston University and is a huge fan of deep sea fishing, winning ebay auctions and eating bizarre foods around the world.
Carter Brutschy - Finance
A Bay Area native, Carter has spent his career as a Financial Analyst at several retail and mobile app startups. While earning an Economics degree at UCLA, he played NCAA Division 1 water polo and served as the Team Manager, helping to lead the team to 3 NCAA titles. Carter enjoys all water activities, barbecuing with friends, and watching the SF Giants and 49ers.
Colin Gardiner - Engineering
Originally from Alaska, Colin made his way south to Oregon where he attended Willamette University. After graduating with degrees in Math and Economics, Colin moved to San Francisco where he worked at the Federal Reserve before taking the plunge into Tech. An avid ultrarunner, telemarker skier and fly-fisherman, Colin has travelled extensively in pursuit of these passions.
Markus Geyer - Engineering
Markus was born in Germany though he has lived in California for most of his life. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Computer Science and Cognitive Science. After graduating, he fell in love with the fast-paced startup world and migrated across the Bay to join our team. An expat at heart, Markus has traveled all around the globe and enjoys scuba diving, photography, and windsurfing.
Girts Graudins - Engineering
Originally from Latvia, Girts has been coding as long as he can remember. He’s currently an advisor to the Engineering team and he’s passionate about building cool products and finding elegant solutions to technical challenges. Girts graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University with a BA in Applied Mathematics in Economics and a Masters in Software Engineering.
Adriana Nottestad - Engineering
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Adriana stuck to her roots and moved to San Francisco to attend college. She graduated with a degree in Web Design and Interactive Media at the Art Institute of California in San Francisco, before joining the Tripping team as our Front-End Developer. When her laptop is closed, Adriana enjoys hiking, training her two dogs and volunteering at the SFSPCA.
Evan Waters - Director of Marketing
Hailing from the East Coast, Evan spent his formative years in the Garden State before studying economics at Boston College and The London School of Economics. When he isn't calculating marginal costs or being nudged by "The Invisible Hand", his love for travel and music festivals brings him all over the world. Favorite places worldwide? Egypt, Barcelona and Malta.
Lexi Perman - Marketing
Lexi brings diverse travel and marketing experience to the Tripping team. She enjoys exploring other cultures and has lived abroad in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. With an enduring passion for travel, Lexi is excited to help travelers find the perfect accommodations on Tripping. Lexi graduated Cum Laude from Cornell University where she earned her degree in International Development and Inequality Studies.
Ben Crock - Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator
Born and raised in Australia, Ben is an avid traveler now living in San Francisco. He graduated with distinction from the Queensland University of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Journalism. Ben worked in the tourism industry before moving stateside to pursue his passion for travel. A dual US/Australian citizen, Ben loves road trips and exploring nature.
Kelsey Page - Intern
A recent graduate of Sacred Heart Prep, Kelsey will be attending Stanford University in the fall, where she plans to major in International Relations and minor in Computer Science. Kelsey spent much of her high school career taking on various leadership opportunities at her high school and in her community, especially those relating to politics, publication, and women’s rights. In her downtime, Kelsey can be found Irish dancing, spending time with friends, or trying a new restaurant or recipe.
Helen Gannon - Intern
Born in Indiana, Helen made her way out to California at a very young age. Tripping's newest intern, she just finished her first year at University of California, Santa Barbara. She plays NCAA Division 1 volleyball and is planning to major in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. When Helen isn't working on a paper or studying for her next exam, she can be found traveling with family, playing sports, hanging out with friends, and helping travelers find amazing places to stay.
Erik Blachford - Advisor
Erik was on the founding team of Expedia, which kick-started a career centered around travel and technology. He ultimately became Expedia’s President & CEO before running IAC Travel, where he oversaw online travel brands including Hotwire and Hotels.com. He’s since been an active investor and advisor to several startups and he’s now a Venture Partner at TCV. Erik graduated from Princeton University and received his MBA from Columbia Business School.
Fritz Demopoulos - Advisor
Fritz is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Qunar, China’s leading travel metasearch site. Earlier in his career, Fritz founded Shawei, a sports internet company that was later acquired by Tom.com, and he’s been an advisor to prominent Chinese and international media companies. Fritz graduated with a BA from California State University-Fullterton and he also received his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
Dave Maney - Advisor
Dave has spent his entire business career as an entrepreneur, operating executive and former journalist. He recently founded a new media company, Economaney, and he’s an active member of YPO's International Board of Directors. When not giving interviews or working on his new business, Dave can be found playing hockey and spending time with his wife, four daughters and one son in Colorado. Dave graduated from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Anthony Rodio - Advisor
A Seattle and Silicon Valley veteran, Anthony has deep expertise with ecommerce and marketplace businesses. He is currently the CEO of Redbeacon (acquired by the Home Depot) and he was previously the VP of Product Management for travel company SideStep (acquired by Kayak). He has also held senior roles at Microsoft/MSN, Amazon, Support.com and Proctor & Gamble. Anthony graduated from the University of Oregon before getting a Masters at Portland State University and an MBA from Washington University.
